Instead of waging a full scale war on Gadhafi, why not just wage an all out assassination attempt on him?

It will be cheaper, it'll cost much less lives, it will take a lot less time, and it will be effective. What I am talking about is a multinational effort to assassinate Gadhafi; a relentless, tenacious attempt to zero in on him and go right after him and assassinate him.
